Netflix has confirmed the release date for After Life season three, which will be the final instalment of the series.
Ricky Gervais is the creator and star of the comedy. He plays Tony, a widowed writer who struggles to come to terms with his wife’s sudden death. After contemplating taking his own life, Tony decides instead to live long enough to punish the world by saying and doing whatever he likes from now on. He thinks it’s like a Super Power — not caring about himself or anyone else — but it turns out to be tricky when everyone is trying to save the nice guy they used to know.
The first series was released in 2019 and season two, which viewers called a ‘masterpiece’, landed on the streaming platform in 2020. Filming for this third and final series wrapped in June 2021 and Netflix has now confirmed a release date.
After Life season three will be released on Netflix on 14th January 2022, it’s been confirmed.
