Harlan Coben praised for biggest plot twist yet as new thriller leaves viewers doubting 'everything they knew'

Thriller fans have been going wild for Harlan Coben’s latest Netflix show - and can’t get over the mind-bending plot twist at the end.

I Will Find You dropped onto the streaming service on 18 June, and marks the thirteenth TV adaptation of the American mystery writer’s novels.

It follows the likes of Fool Me Once, The Stranger, and Stay Close, which were all hugely popular thanks to their gripping storylines.

But according to fans, the newest instalment is the best one yet.

The show follows David (Sam Worthington), a father who is serving a life sentence for the murder of his toddler son, a crime he insists he didn't commit.

While in prison, he comes to find new evidence that suggests his boy, Matthew, is actually alive, prompting him to break out and recruit his former sister-in-law Rachel to help find him.

However, the mind-blowing twist is that Matthew is, in fact, alive, and Rachel’s ex-boyfriend Hayden was the one who framed him for murder, as he believed he was the little boy’s father.

Reacting to the unbelievable moment, one viewer gushed on X: “I just finished I Will Find You on Netflix. My flabber was gasted. My over was constantly whelmed. Another brilliant adaptation from Harlan Coben.

“The acting was superb, the suspense was relentless, and the plot twists had me questioning everything and everyone. Every time I thought I had figured it out, the story pulled the rug out from under me.

“One of the most binge-worthy thrillers I’ve watched in a long time.”

While a second agreed: “Just finished all 8 episodes of I Will Find You, and I honestly think it’s one of Harlan Coben’s best Netflix adaptations. The pacing was great, the twists kept coming, and every episode gave me a new reason to question what I thought I knew.

“What I loved most is that the story never got predictable. Every time I thought I had the mystery figured out, something happened that completely changed my perspective.

“The show does a great job of revealing just enough information to keep you hooked without giving away too much.”
