TV chef Lisa Faulkner has given fans a sad update, as she revealed she was diagnosed with breast cancer and has been undergoing treatment.
Faulkner, 54, who is married to MasterChef star John Torode, had been missing from our screens and social media for the last few weeks.
She returned to update worried fans, and confirmed she had been given a 'very early stage' diagnosis and had been away having surgery.

The star posted a video on her Instagram, telling fans: "I just wanted to come on because I know I've been quiet on here. The reason being, that I've had to have surgery because I've had the very early stages of breast cancer. I had surgery two weeks ago and it was quite a big op."

Faulkner hosts John and Lisa's Weekend Kitchen alongside her husband, as well as starring in the likes of Holby City and EastEnders.
The star also confirmed that she has been taking time away to focus on her health.
According to The Mirror, the chef confirmed that her surgery went well and she will now receive radiotherapy to treat the early stage breast cancer.
"But it's all good and I've had my results back and they've got everything out so it's all clear and I just need now to have some radiotherapy in a few weeks," she added.
She was sharing her news to try and raise awareness and encourage people to get checked out after it was picked up on a mammogram.
"I just wanted to say I've got a bit of healing to do but I'm good, I'm well and feeling so much better and I'm so grateful that I went for my mammogram. Don't put them off - go! They found this, and without that mammogram, it wouldn't have been picked up.

"And I want to say thank you to our wonderful NHS and the fact that we can have these mammograms, get treatment early and treated quickly. I will see you all soon!"
Earlier this year, Faulkner shared how her mum had passed away from throat cancer at the age of just 44, and Lisa revealed she was making the most of life: "I feel lucky to get to an age where you've got more to give and you're not invisible. Women are brilliant and we're picking each other up and looking out for each other."
"Life's short. My mum died when she was 44 and didn't get to have that second act. So I grab it," she added.
Fellow TV stars and soap actors rushed to the comment section to share their well wishes.
EastEnders actress Emma Barton wrote: "Love you Lisa," while,Catherine Tyldesley from Coronation Street added "Sending love."
Angela Lonsdale from Emmerdale posted "Big love to you Lisa" and Tamzin Outhwaite wished: "Love you Lise. You've got this my darling."
