The father of former Love Island star Adam Collard has been charged with allegedly attacking his own son.
William 'Billy' Collard is due to stand trial at Newcastle Magistrates' Court early next month (7 August) after being charged with assault by beating following an incident in Newcastle in September 2025.
A spokesperson for the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed the charge, while the court confirmed that Adam Collard is the alleged victim, MailOnline reports.
The news comes as Adam prepares to welcome his second child with fiancée Laura Woods, who is currently in the United States presenting ITV's coverage of the FIFA World Cup.

The couple began dating in October 2023, announced they were expecting their first child the following July and got engaged in September 2024 after Adam proposed on a beach in St Ives, Cornwall.

ChronicleLive reports that the alleged assault happened on September 5 last year.
Billy Collard appeared at Newcastle Magistrates' Court earlier this year in April, where he pleaded not guilty to one count of assault by beating.
Rehana Haque, prosecuting at the time, said: "The victim is the son of the defendant.
"It is a charge of assault by beating. The background is that there appears to be a dispute over ownership of a property. The victim bought a cottage from the defendant's wife some time in 2023."
The prosecutor continued: "On September 5, the victim attended the address with the police to have the locks changed on the property. The defendant had allegedly parked his car across the front door, preventing access.
"The victim has attempted to barge the door, and the defendant has allegedly grabbed the victim and pulled him back, causing a ripped shirt and reddening to his neck."
The court heard that Billy pleaded not guilty on the basis that he was acting in self-defence.
Jack Lovell, defending, added: "There are some financial legal issues also involved here."

Billy Collard, a multi-millionaire property developer, was released on unconditional bail to appear back at the same court for trial on August 7.
Previously reported to have a net worth of around £3 million, Billy Collard has also faced legal issues in the past.
In 2008, he admitted making a false statement to obtain income support after failing to disclose full and accurate details of his assets.
He was given a two-year conditional discharge, ordered to pay £2,000 in court costs.
In 2019, HMRC successfully applied to confiscate £44,000 from Billy under the Proceeds of Crime Act during a court hearing and the money was later returned following a successful appeal.
Speaking to the Daily Mail in 2018 about the benefits fraud case, Billy Collard said: "It is what it is. I did not even get a fine."
He added: "Me and Adam are completely different. What I do is completely different from what Adam does.
"I do not really want to comment on Adam being in Love Island. It is not our type of thing."
Adam first found fame on Love Island in 2018 before making a surprise return to the villa in 2022.
