Love Island fans will no doubt know that every series of the show comes with a few guarantees.
There will always be bombshells, messy recouplings, at least one argument over breakfast, and, of course, Maya Jama making a dramatic entrance whenever the villa is about to be turned upside down.
However, this year, ITV viewers have noticed something's a little different.
Despite returning as host for the latest series, Maya has barely featured on screen compared to previous years, leaving viewers wondering where she's been.
One X user questioned: "We are now at the end of week 4 on #LoveIsland and… has anybody seen this woman?"
Love Island fans have noticed host Maya Jama's noticeable absence in the latest series (ITV) "Maya Jama been working from home bare lol, hardly seen her this season," joked a second.
A third chimed in: "Did they cut the flight budget or something ain’t seen Maya Jama in time!"
"WHERE IS MAYA JAMA???" questioned a fourth.
Another echoed: "Does Maya Jama still work for Love Island? I don’t remember the last time I saw her."
And a final X user declared: "Maya Jama hasn’t visited the villa since the first episode of Love Island UK?"
This season has felt particularly light on Maya moments (ITV) While there's a whole bunch of chatter online, the reality is that Maya's screen time has always depended on major villa moments like arrivals, dumpings, recouplings and headline twists.
Talking of twists, Love Island's most iconic challenge returned this week (25 June) after seven years
Often nicknamed the 'Twitter challenge' by longtime fans of the hit dating show, the chaos-causing game hadn't aired since 2019, when it famously rocked a number of that year's couples.
Additionally, with Casa Amor soon approaching, there's a load of buzz online as to who else could be entering the villa as the next bombshell.
Irish influencer Charleen Murphy has been heavily linked to this year's series for months, but fresh reports suggest things may now be moving behind the scenes.
Hopefully, we'll be seeing more of Maya on our screens very soon! (ITV) According to an exclusive report from Goss.ie, Charleen flew to Mallorca earlier this week on Wednesday (24 June) to meet with Love Island producers.
A source told the publication: "Charleen flew over to Palma to meet with Love Island producers today. There’s been so much buzz around her going on the show, but now it looks like it’s finally about to happen."
However, the source added: "Charleen met with producers today, but there’s still no guarantee she’ll make it on the show."
Tyla has reached out to ITV for comment.
Love Island continues tonight at 9 pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
