Love Island viewers could be about to see one very familiar face enter the villa, as speculation continues to grow that Irish influencer Charleen Murphy is finally set to make her debut.
The 27-year-old social media star, who boasts 403k followers on Instagram alone, has been heavily linked to this year's series for months, but fresh reports suggest things may now be moving behind the scenes just as Casa Amor approaches.
According to an exclusive report from Goss.ie, Charleen flew to Mallorca earlier this week on Wednesday (24 June) to meet with Love Island producers, fuelling rumours that she could be preparing to enter the villa as one of the show's next bombshells.
A source told the publication: "Charleen flew over to Palma to meet with Love Island producers today. There’s been so much buzz around her going on the show, but now it looks like it’s finally about to happen."
Influencer Charleen Murphy has been tipped to enter Love Island ahead of Casa Amor (Instagram/@charleenmurphy) While reality TV fans may be hoping her arrival is all but confirmed, it appears nothing has been signed off on just yet.
The source added: "Charleen met with producers today, but there’s still no guarantee she’ll make it on the show."
According to the report, producers are believed to have several potential bombshells waiting in Mallorca before making a final decision on who enters the villa.
The insider continued: "Producers have multiple potential bombshells in holding over in Mallorca, so she still doesn’t know if she will make it into the villa.
"But with Casa Amor looming, now could be the perfect time for Charleen to finally make her long-awaited entrance.
"And the producers know she will definitely turn the boys’ heads."
While Love Island fans may be hoping her arrival is all but confirmed, it appears nothing has been signed off on just yet (Instagram/@charleenmurphy) Earlier this year, in April, The Sun also reported that former Love Island star Lucinda Strafford had recommended Charleen to ITV bosses.
A source told the publication: "Charleen split from her boyfriend earlier this year and Lucinda told ITV bosses they should get her on the show."
They added: "She’s really gorgeous and fun and has a lot of Irish charm – she’s been friends with Lucinda for years so of course Lucinda would put a word in for her!"
For now, Love Island fans will simply have to wait and see whether Charleen makes the final cut, but with Casa Amor just around the corner, the avalanche of rumours doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon.
