Mum claims she went back to work just five days after giving birth

Jaelyn's partner tried to convince her to stay home.

A mum-of-two who went back to work just five days after giving birth says she couldn't be happier.

Jaelyn Cox, 29, welcomed her second daughter just last month, but earns so much money from her job that she wrapped up her maternity leave super early.

The mum, who works as an exotic dancer, originally worried that her pregnancy would affect her earnings - but it actually had the opposite effect.

She told The Sun that men seem to love her bump, and she made more money than ever when she told customers that she was having a baby.

Right up until her due date, Jaelyn kept working at Seventh Heaven in Glasgow, Scotland, where she says she earns £800 a night.

As her due date got closer, though, Jaelyn's boyfriend started to have problems with the outfits she was wearing.

"My boyfriend kept saying 'you can’t wear that because I was pregnant," she shared.

"Loads of people look at me funny - usually if I have a skirt or heels on or my boobs are showing."

The mum of two kept working right up until her due date.

Since her job earns her so much money, Jaelyn, who also works as an OnlyFans model, was itching to get back to work just days after she welcomed her baby girl.

Although her boyfriend urged her to stay at home and recover for a while longer, the couple eventually came to an agreement that she would go back to work.

"I was back on the hustle five days after giving birth," she said.

"He was raging, telling me I need time to rest.

"But my boyfriend's been doing most of the night feeds.

"So I can make the money during the night and he does the babysitting."

According to the Gov.uk, mums are entitled to up to a year of maternity leave - that's 26 weeks of ordinary maternity leave and 26 weeks of additional maternity leave - no matter how long you've worked for an employer.

The website adds that, while new parents don't have to take a full 52 weeks, they 'must take two weeks' leave after [their] baby is born.'

The mum had previously told The Sun that she often gets messages from trolls telling her that she's a bad mum and her child will be bullied when she's older.

"But how can you say I’m a bad mum when she has everything she needs and I’m trying to give her a good life?" she asked.

"A bad mum would be somebody who doesn’t get up and provide for their daughter. But I’m not ashamed."
