The most popular baby names in 2026 have been unveiled, and there are some seriously surprising additions.
Now, we all know that naming your children is one of the most important decisions you make as a parent, which is why it’s also the most difficult.
While some people believe the more unique, the better, others are hardcore fans of your more classic monikers that climb the charts every single year.
Each year, to make things a little bit easier for parents-to-be, BabyCentre releases its annual ranking and data, revealing the top 10 boys' and girls' names.

This year, although Olivia and Noah are still the main characters, sitting in the coveted number one spots, some new names are on the rise this year, including two vintage monikers that are clearly making a comeback.
Evelyn and Elias have made their way into the top 10, as more and more parents are looking for inspiration in names that have already come and gone and had their heyday.

Evelyn rejoined the top 10 this year after falling out in 2024, and is up five spots at number nine, while Elias jumped 8 spots to join the top 10 boy names for the first time ever.
The digital parenting resource also pointed out that, for the third year in a row, the top five boy names are unchanged: Noah, Liam, Oliver, Elijah, and Mateo.
Meanwhile, Eliana has shot up to second place on the girls list, after being after debuting last year at number seven.
Other interesting facts to note include that there’s only one girl name that's brand new to the top 100 this year: Magnolia, which rose 40 spots.
The top boy names list some more newbies, with four monikers making their top-100 debut.
Milo rose 41 spots, to number 89; Stetson rose 46 spots to number 95; Archer rose 23 spots to number 96; and Dean, which is another vintage name that was popular in the 1950s and '60s, is in the top 100 for the first time this century, coming in at the end of the list at number 100.

Some longtime favorite names also fell out of the top 100 for the first time since BabyCenter started sharing name data.
There will be fewer Leahs in Gen Beta and beyond, as the name has fallen 22 spots to number 102.
Brooklyn fell 29 spots to number 116, and for boys, Christian fell 31 spots, and Ryan fell 64 spots.
Finally, long names are getting more popular, and BabyCentre highlighted that a whopping 29% of the top girl names and 31% of the top boy names have 7 or more letters.
There are also some standout first initials,, with 15% of the top 100 girl names starting with E and 14% of the top 100 boy names starting with J.
