Grey's Anatomy fans were in for a nostalgic blast from the past this week, when another beloved character made an appearance on the beach.
Following the teaser at the end of last week's ep, viewers thought they were in for just one reunion, between Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) and Meredith (Ellen Pompeo).
However, Lexie was also joined by Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) - with the couple appearing to be back together following their death in the Season 8 plane crash.

At this point, fans still didn't know if Meredith is visiting the beach temporarily, due to the fact she's currently suffering from Covid and is on a ventilator in real life.
During the touching clip, she said: "It's so beautiful, I love it here" but didn't give anything away when she was asked if she would be staying on the limbo beach.
Mark went on to tell her she was "early" to join them, while Meredith admitted: "I don't know how to get back. I keep seeing Derek, and he won't help me get back or come close enough to touch."

The scene ends with both Lexie and Mark urging Meredith to fight to stay alive. "Don't waste one single minute," Mark said.
And shortly after the reunion, Meredith was taken off the ventilator.
Fans were blown away by the reunion, with some admitting to being in tears over the episode.

While another commented: "Not Grey's Anatomy giving me 1 minute and 27 secs of Mark and Lexie. I missed them so much, omg."
And another tweeted: "I literally am in bed crying over tonight's Grey's Anatomy ep because Lexi and Mark are in it and they were my fave Grey's couple of all time. I CAN NOT."

Ellen hinted that the future of the series was uncertain. When asked if the show will continue for an eighteenth instalment, Ellen told CBS Sunday Morning: "I can't say.
"We honestly have not decided. We're really trying to figure it out right now."
When asked if the team were in the middle of deciding the future of the show, Ellen added: "Yes... What story do we tell? To end a show this iconic... how do we do it?
"I just wanna make sure we do this character and this show and the fans... I wanna make sure we do it right."
