It may be August, but the elves at Magic Radio are already looking ahead to Christmas with the launch of a brand-new radio station dedicated entirely to festive tunes.

Hitting the air waves four months ahead of the big day, Magic 100% Christmas will play non-stop Christmas hits to lift the nation's spirits during difficult times.

Think Wham!, Mariah Carey, The Pogues and Band Aid - all day, every day.
Listeners can tune in from today and sing along to their seasonal favourites for the 120 leading up to Christmas, which stretch over the August Bank Holiday, Halloween and Guy Fawkes Night.
Talking about the launch on Magic Radio Breakfast Show, presenter Ronan Keating said: "2020 has been a hard year for us all - what better way to lift our spirits than bringing Christmas forward a few months?

The early launch of the station comes following a recent survey, which revealed that nearly a quarter of participants were in need of something to look forward to.
Meanwhile, 1 in 3 people (37 per cent) said that the Christmas mood first kicks in when they hear Christmas music.

And a whopping 70 per cent of people said that Christmas and music go hand-in-hand.
As concerns build over the possibility of a second wave of coronavirus, and how this might impact on our ability to see loved ones over the Christmas season, 'Magic 100% Christmas' is doing its bit to cheer the nation.
