Sophie Turner is begging her fans to 'delete the video' after she accidentally posted her daughter.

The Game of Thrones star uploaded a video of her and her husband Joe Jonas' little one, Willa, to her 14.5 million followers on Instagram.

After realising her mistake, the actor is now calling anyone who has since saved the clip to get rid of it once and for all.

Turner is currently in the process of trying to limit the fallout of her social media blunder, which took place yesterday morning (1 May).

The 27-year-old accidentally shared a clip of her daughter to her story, but later deleted it by 5:30am, after realizing her error.

Instead, the mom-of-one replaced the video with a statement to her fans about the mishap.

She told her millions of followers: "Earlier today I made an honest mistake accidentally posting a video of our daughter on Instagram stories."

The Dark Phoenix star added: "We have always advocated for our kids' rights to privacy so sharing this publicly is something that is against anything I stand for.

"Our children deserve the right to grow up out of the public eye, to learn and grow in private. If I ever were to post anything of our kids, know that it is unquestionably a mistake."

Turner ended the post saying she would 'greatly appreciate' if anyone who had already reposted the clip to any other platform be sure to remove it.

"Please delete the video," she concluded.

Turner has previously spoken out about her decision to keep her home life private and away from the cameras.

Speaking to Elle magazine last year (4 May 2022), the mom opened up about how she was faring with life as a new parent and why her and her hubby wanted to keep her children out of the limelight.

She explained: "I'm very protective of the life we’ve built.

"My daughter never asked for any of this. I know what it can do to your mental health to be in this industry, and to be photographed every day and have the comments."

Turner went on to say: "It’s not something I want her to deal with unless she says, 'This is what I want to do.' We’re quite strict about that."

While she noted that she and Jonas will 'encourage her to do whatever she wants', Turner revealed: "I don’t think we would professionally let her do anything until she’s 18."
