Selma Blair has broken her silence after being charged with two counts of assault further to being accused of being violent during a flight.
Blair was arrested at New York’s JFK Airport on 11 October following a report of a ‘a physically abusive passenger aboard Delta Air Lines flight 938 which was parked at the gate’, officials said at the time.
The Legally Blonde actress, 54, is also accused of kicking a nurse in the chest while she was being taken to the Jamaica Hospital Medical Center for further treatment, per the documents, but has since entered a not guilty plea relating to the claims.
It is alleged that Blair punched onboard flight attendants, tried to bite one, and also attempted to open an aircraft door.

However, officials have not confirmed the reports.

One day later, the Port Authority said the actress 'was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for evaluation', and added: “Two flight attendants also reported injuries, and one was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.”
The Port Authority also claimed the FBI was involved.
Now, Blair has spoken out about the incident, which saw her appear in court over what the affidavit claims was the result of her repeatedly kicking a Port Authority police officer in the face, neck and chest.
In a video shared on Instagram today (31 October), Blair said: "I know I've been quiet for a couple weeks since October 11. And you deserve to hear from me directly, and I'm sorry that it's taken this long."
She added of her silence: "There is a legal matter going on, and my lawyers have asked me to not say anything about that day, and I'm listening to them."
The star said she is taking the incident 'very seriously' and alleged that the 'very simple and the truest thing I know about myself is that not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone.'
"And so to the people that I disappointed, that I hurt, I frightened, that I alarmed, I am so sorry," she added.
Blair, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018, concluded: "So, right now I'm going to be taking care of my health. And my son. And thinking of you all with my gratitude and love."
According to a court affidavit, Blair is accused of removing her leg from the stretcher straps and kicking the Port Authority officer, causing swelling to her jaw and significant pain.
The nurse who claims she was kicked in the chest at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center was reportedly granted an order of protection.
According to a 911 call obtained by TMZ, the pilot of the flight requested both police and medical staff to be waiting at the gate to treat two people who had allegedly been injured during the flight.
The pilot said, per the audio: “Sounds like one passenger and one flight attendant that sustained some minor injuries — a bloody nose as well as some bite marks."
However, Blair’s defence lawyer said she had missed medication for her multiple sclerosis and had also hit her head before the incident.
Tyla has reached out to Blair’s representatives for comment.
