Halle Berry is 'determined to continue to focus on the well-being and best interest of her family' following a fresh court decision in her ongoing custody battle with ex-husband Olivier Martinez.
The American actress, 60, has been embroiled in a legal dispute with the French movie star, also 60, since he accused her of physically abusing their 13-year-old son, Maceo, last month.
However, after nearly two weeks of court hearings, a judge has now denied Martinez's request for a domestic violence restraining order against Berry and dissolved the temporary order previously granted to him. Meanwhile, the former couple's modified custody arrangement will remain in place for the time being, an insider claimed to PEOPLE.
According to the outlet, the source said the current arrangement, which changed the hours Berry is permitted to spend with Maceo, has been temporarily extended.

“We are extremely pleased that the Court has dissolved the TRO,” Marina Beck, Berry's lawyer, said in a statement.
“As we move forward, Halle is determined to continue to focus on the well-being and best interest of her family.”

The pair are expected to return to court in November, when their custody arrangement will be reviewed again.
The latest decision follows a series of hearings which began on 19 October, after Martinez requested a domestic violence restraining order against Berry.
The former couple, who married in 2013 and finalised their divorce in 2023, previously shared joint physical and legal custody of Maceo.
On 1 October, Martinez filed for sole custody, alleging that Berry had physically abused their son during an incident on 26 September.
According to the allegations outlined in court documents, Martinez claimed Berry had grabbed Maceo by the neck and choked him during an argument, allegedly shouting, 'Who is dominant now? Who is dominant?'
Berry has vehemently denied the claims.
The Catwoman actress previously described the incident as beginning with what she called 'playfully roughhousing' while Maceo was using a virtual reality headset, strongly denying putting her hands around his neck, choking him or restricting his breathing.

In a declaration filed in response to the allegations, Berry said: "I have never physically, emotionally, or otherwise abused Maceo. I am a victim of domestic violence, and I help victims of domestic violence.
"I am not a perpetrator of violence. I would never hurt our child."
Her lawyer, Marina Beck, also previously hit back at Martinez's claims, saying: "To say this filing is entirely meritless and deliberately misleading would be an understatement.
"Fortunately, Halle is used to this kind of outrageous conduct from Mr. Martinez and, while she is deeply saddened, she will not allow it to deter her from fighting for Maceo’s best interests and providing him with the love and support he needs."
Following the initial court order, Berry had asked for the previous 50/50 custody arrangement to be restored.
However, the temporary changes to her parenting time remained in place, with her visits restricted to daytime hours on certain days.

The latest decision means those modified arrangements will continue until the November review, despite Martinez's restraining order request being denied.
The allegations previously prompted Berry's eldest daughter, 18-year-old Nahla Aubry, to speak out in support of her mother.
Nahla, whom Berry shares with ex-partner Gabriel Aubry, submitted a declaration to Los Angeles Superior Court in October, describing her mother as a 'loving and devoted parent' who was 'warm, supportive, and deeply involved'.
She also insisted she had never witnessed her mother being abusive towards Maceo, writing: "I never observed anything abusive about her parenting. I have never seen my mom hit, slap, choke, grab, or physically abuse Maceo in any way."
She added that Berry had consistently provided her with 'stability, support, guidance, and unconditional love'.

Meanwhile, Martinez previously argued that Maceo should have the opportunity to speak about the alleged incident in court.
In a declaration, he wrote: "He should have the opportunity to have his voice heard regarding what he experienced that night. If he is prevented from addressing the Court regarding these allegations, I fear that he would be dissuaded from reporting problems or potential abuse in the future."
The November hearing will give the court another opportunity to review the arrangements for Maceo, with the modified visitation schedule remaining in place in the meantime.
