Jennifer Lawrence has reflected on the time she spoke out about unauthorised crew members being on set while she filmed a nude scene.
The Oscar-winning star, 36, discusses her extensive career in a new episode of Call Her Daddy, revealing that she once had to advocate for herself during a rather uncomfortable behind-the-scenes moment.
“There was an instance on set where crew members who were not approved when I was doing nudity were on set,” she told podcast host Alex Cooper. “I came down hard on it, purely because if we are not setting that principle, then what on earth is going to happen to an 18-year-old unknown when she shows up and there’s people on set who are not approved [to be there]?

“She’s going to be in a position of: ‘Do I say something and get a reputation for being difficult, or do I let these people that I’m not comfortable seeing me naked see me naked?’” continued Lawrence. “It was important to me to explain that to the people why that was not okay.”
In the same interview, Lawrence shared her mum’s most brutal acting feedback after she attended the premiere of The Hunger Games.
“My mum at the premiere of The Hunger Games said she could tell in every scene when I had my period,” she said.
“Water retention, I guess. Imagine a day of me being on camera that doesn’t go through my mind.”
When Cooper reacted by ironically suggesting that the actress was ‘so scarred’ she would never act while on her period again, Lawrence jokingly replied: “I’ll only be able to film for about 20 days.”
Turning to her mother’s role in supporting her career, Lawrence said: “She’s the person I’m so excited to tell exciting news to.”

In another part of the interview, Cooper asked the star about her early years and whether teenage Lawrence’s friends in Kentucky believed she was moving to New York to pursue her modelling career.
Lawrence said: “They all thought I was lying because I was a prolific liar… In elementary school, I told everyone I had a wooden leg. And when they found out I didn’t…”
Cooper then questioned: “Did you not wear skirts or shorts ever?” Lawrence replied simply: “No.”
She's also been keeping it real when it comes to cosmetic surgery, opening up about getting the breast lift she wanted after having two children, and she's already got another procedure on her mind - a face-lift.
In a new interview with The Cut, the actress spoke about her decision while discussing her latest venture into the beauty world with her new haircare brand, mes°.
Lawrence, who shares two sons with her husband Cooke Maroney, made it clear that she wants to feel good about herself while navigating life as a mum.
She admitted: “I want to be a sexy mum. At drop-off, I want to look like a woman that has her [expletive] together even when I've just woken up and don't have my [expletive] together.”
