The former Geordie Shore star, 32, announced her baby girl had arrived, via caesarean section, earlier this month.

It was actually Charlotte's dad Gary who shared the exciting news to Twitter, writing: "So, officially a grand father! Little girl, all is well. Excited for the new chapter in our little family."

Charlotte later posted her own update on Instagram with a series of photos from hospital, announcing that she and boyfriend Jake Ankers had welcomed their baby girl.

Since the couple announced their little one had arrived, fans have been desperate to know her name.

She wrote: "Alba Jean Ankers 14.10.22. Our hearts are so full my baby girl you have shown us a whole new meaning to life.

"You're perfect in absolutely every way! Mammy and Daddy are so so so lucky to call you our little girl you are loved so much more then you will ever know."

Alongside the touching caption was a close-up photo of Alba's tiny hands.

It's believed Alba's middle name is after Charlotte's grandma Jean, who she often shares photos and videos with on social media.

"My little Alba Jeanie," Charlotte added.

Charlotte later took to her Instagram Stories to discuss the name, telling followers: "Guys, I wanna scream but I can't. I am so excited, me and Jake are smiling from ear to ear about everyone's comments about her name.

"How beautiful is her name, I've been wanting to shout it from the mountain tops. I'm feeling a lot better [...] I can't wait for you all to see her."

New mum Charlotte previously took to her social media to apologise to fans for taking a break from Instagram, describing motherhood as 'bliss'.

"Hi, I'm back and I'm a mother! Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow. I just can't go too much into it because I will literally cry," she explained.

"I am so sorry because I totally forgot that although I had told everyone that I had the baby, I kinda went quiet on Instagram and I completely forgot Instagram existed because I've just been in a world where I'm so in love.

"I checked my messages and I had so many people worried. Everything is fine, it's more than fine. it's just bliss, absolute bliss."
