TikTokers are revealing a mega simple way to do your own French manicure at home - and it looks so easy.

The idea of painting the tips on ourselves fills us with all kinds of dread - after all, you'd need a very steady hand! But in the video, the TikToker uses a mega simple trick to create the tips and they look unreal.

All you need to do is begin by painting your nails with a base colour - usually a 'ballet slipper' pink for a classic manicure - but it can be whatever you fancy.

Then, take a sponge, or a beauty blender, and add a few layers of the polish you'd like to use for the tips.

As shown in the video, carefully press your nail into the sponge to create a neat tip. Repeat on each nail and voila! French manicure - complete!

And people are loving the idea online, with one person writing on Instagram: "Omg this has changed my life!"

While another said: "This is a game changer!"

And a third added: "Look at this save your moneys!"

While a fourth tagged her mates and wrote: "Guys, mindblown."

If you need some extra inspo, check out these examples below. One TikToker simply used her finger instead of a sponge - which seems to have worked well!

We can't wait to try this out...

In other beauty news, earlier this week we told how people are just remembering bath pearls. The colourful, squidgy pearls were filled with scented bath oils which would dissolve in the water - and we used to love them.

One woman discovered a stash of her bath pearls in some childhood boxes and decided to share a photo of them online. And people were loving the nostalgic trip down memory lane.

You can read all about that here!
