There were plenty of thrills, spooks and scares this Halloween – but one TV news channel really wanted to frighten its viewers.

After delivering its usual weather report, Irish-Gaelic language channel TG4 scared those watching as weather reporter Caitlín Nic Aoidh seemed to lose control of all of her senses.

The presenter seemingly crawled out of her frame and came towards the viewer, as her background drained of colour and turned black and white.

Naturally, the weather presenter finishing her outlook on the next day’s forecast scared many viewers witless, with several taking to Twitter to share their horror.

"Did you see the devilishness of the Weather last night for Halloween!?" one person gasped.

"Shaking with fear!" said a second.

A third appreciated the horror humour, writing: "This is great."

"I love this!" said a fourth, while a fifth said: "That was class."

It seems as though Irish-language TV was not the only winner of Halloween 2021.

Fans loved Stacey Solomon's hilarious Halloween costumes with the rest of her beautiful family down at Pickle Cottage.

The 31-year-old Loose Women presenter said her family’s Monsters, Inc. costumes were chosen by her fiancé Joe Swash, 39 and son Leighton, nine.

Mum-of-four Stacey called the outfits ‘ridiculous’, which includes Mike Wazowski, James P. Sullivan and Stacey herself dressed as Celia.

The hilarious family portrait also includes her son Zachary, 13, one-year-old Rex and the family’s newborn daughter Rose, who was dressed up as Boo.

Stacey admitted that the family’s costumes this year were ‘rushed’ because of Rose’s arrival on Stacey’s birthday last month.

Elsewhere, former Love Island star Faye Winter got people talking with her Halloween costume - but for all the wrong reasons.

The third-place runner-up shared a snap of her with boyfriend Teddy Soares as the Na'vi species from the Avatar film, it was met with a mixed reaction as some accused the influencer of cultural appropriation.

People have assumed that Faye is meant to resemble Zoe Saldana's character Neytiri in the film, who wears braids with beads in - and many were left uncomfortable with the image.
