1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has opened up about her 'biggest concern' following her skin removal surgery after showing off her transformation.
Since 2020, TLC viewers have been keeping tabs on how the 38-year-old reality TV personality has been faring throughout her emotional weight loss journey - which saw her impressively lose as much as 500lbs - with her latest update giving fans glimpse at the results of her excess skin removal surgery which removed 15 pounds of the excess skin.
In the season finale, which aired earlier this week (10 June), Tammy could be seen in her hospital bed after the post-op as someone brought over a mirror so she could see her new look.

Later, in a confessional, she said: "I’m shocked. Like, I feel so weird. I don’t have my hanging b******* off my face.
"My bat wings are gone too. And I look down and there’s not nothing there but my lap now. It’s gonna take a little while for me to get used to seeing myself like this."
Amid the avalanche of praise she's received post-op, Tammy opened up to PEOPLE about what was going on in her head ahead of the life-changing surgery - confessing that she was more nervous about her skin removal, which took place earlier this year (18 January) than she was about undergoing bariatric surgery.
"After six years and losing over 500 pounds, I was finally approved for surgery," she explained. "I was just overwhelmed with excitement. I worked really hard for this, and now it's here.

"I'm pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was."
Following the successful surgery, which took a staggering eight hours, Tammy celebrated with her siblings - Amy, Amanda, Misty and Chris - upon finally returning home, where she revealed the one thing that surprised doctors after her skin removal transformation.
"I surprised the doctors with how well my body was healing. I ended up coming home from Pittsburgh, like, four days early," she told the outlet.

Tammy's been very brave in sharing with fans her emotional and psychological struggles, namely over her insecurities surrounding her appearance.

As we know, she admitted pre-surgery fear, especially about how she’d look without the excess skin around her stomach and also shared how she's been hurt by social media trolls mocking her 'chin flap' and how it's impacted her mental health.
Tammy posted a TikTok video responding to one follower who wrote: "Just a question not trying to be rude, but do you know if your chin flap will go away?"

"My 'chin flap' is not a chin flap. It’s literally excess skin and yes, it will go away when I get skin removal surgery," said in a TikTok video posted in February 2024.
"My problem is, you say you’re not trying to be rude, yet you’re rude by asking and pointing it out," Tammy continued. "Can’t I live my life without y’all judging me, making fun of me for every little freaking thing?"
