Tanqueray Launches New Blackcurrant Royale Flavoured Gin

The pubs have been closed all year - and if we're being completely honest, we cannot wait to have a nice cold drink in warm summer sun.

With the 'rule of six' on schedule to be returning later this month, we've been dreaming about what will be the first tipple we serve up when we're back relaxing with our mates in the park.

And it looks like we've got the bevs all sorted after premium gin band Tanqueray announced the launch of their brand new Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale.

The rich and vibrant new drink is a unique gin made with French blackcurrants and vanilla notes.

We can hear summer calling us already!

The sumptuous new drink has been inspired by Charles Tanqueray's visits to France in the 19^th century, with the gin aiming to reflect the country's lavish and extravagant nature.

The four botanicals of Tanqueray London Dry Gin have been blended with juicy blackcurrants from France, warm vanilla and the exotic floral notes of black orchid to give a rich and heady flavour, perfect for summer drinks in the park.

The gin works great when mixed with a tonic as standard, but can also be combined with prosecco for a more decadent and luxurious serve.

Janine Blakeway-Ely, Head of Europe Gin Innovation said of the new drink: "The idea behind Tanqueray Blackcurrant Royale was born from combining the elegant world of Tanqueray with a unique and differentiated offering.

If blackcurrant isn't necessarily your bag, you might want to try some of the other new flavours in the flavourful Tanqueray range, which include Tanqueray Flor de Sevilla and Tanqueray Rangpur Lime.
