You've heard of a donut wall, but what about a crisp wall?

Newlyweds Charlotte and Gavin Bell, both 28, have revealed how they decided to construct a DIY 'crisp wall' for their wedding - and it only cost £75 to make.

The snack enthusiasts, from Dunfermline in Scotland, explained how they came up with the idea after deciding what kinds of favours they wanted to serve at their wedding, which took place in December.

Spending just £75 on the wall - which included the 200 bags of crisps - Charlotte explained how she used just chicken wire and timber to construct the quirky idea.

"I've always been crisp-obsessed and everyone I know loves snacking, so the idea came about when Gavin's sister suggested we should have a cart of crisps at the venue, instead of a candy cart," Charlotte explained.

"I wanted to put my own twist on it, so we put our heads together and had the idea to make a wall full of crisp packets for people to pick from."

They chose retro crisps including Discos and Space Raiders (

It was certainly a full wall, with options ranging from classic Walkers, to chunky crinkled McCoys, nostalgic Pom Bears, Discos, Space Raiders, Quavers and Wheat Crunchies.

"We went for a theme of retro crisps, so the most stressful part was trying to track down particular brands," explained Charlotte.

The newlywed explained they struggled to find Tangy Toms but managed to track down some old school brands - which guests loved, with many taking a bag home in their taxis.

Once the wedding was over, Charlotte shared the genius idea on social media and ever since, she's been inundated with messages from people asking to rent the wall for their own weddings.

The 28-year-old said she was shocked by the interest, but has decided to keep hold of the crisp wall to reuse at her 30th birthday and for other milestone occasions.

We would *definitely* rent this - anyone else think it's a fab business idea?
