Best Friends Planning On Spending Life Together As 'Marriage Is Not For Them'

Best Friends Planning On Spending Life Together As 'Marriage Is Not For Them'

'We've been best friends for 11 years'.

Starting a life with your best mate sounds like a dream come true, and we love the idea of a platonic partnership!

TikTok users were all in their feels after content creator April Lexie Lee (@psychottie) detailed her dream relationship - with none of the traditional romance involved.

April confided in her followers, talking about spending her future with her best friend. She introduced the idea of 'platonic partnerships' to nearly 15,000 viewers, wondering if you really need to have a romantic (or sexual) relationship with someone in order to want to spend the rest of your life with them.

At the beginning of the video, the TikToker urges her followers to "normalise platonic life partners". She also dedicates the video to "anyone who believes that their soulmate is their best friend".

In the most adorable 'awww' moment, April says that her pal is the "love of her life". To that end, the content creator highlights that she's the person she chooses to "do life with".

The pair had been in a long-distance friendship for five years - with one living in Singapore and the other in Los Angeles. After a gruelling half-decade, April's best friend finally made the move to L.A. in order for them to begin their life together.

April talked about everything she saw the duo doing in the future - including buying a house together, starting a retirement fund together, even adopting children together!

The pair documented their first time seeing each other in five years, after April's best friend arrived at the airport in Los Angeles. April's best friend "moved across the world in the middle of a pandemic" just so the pair could start their life together.

People can't get enough of the pair or platonic love. One user commented, "my boss did that with her friend. They even bought a house together and they're still going strong after 35 years".

"What a long-term, stable, healthy partnership can look like in 2021", the TikToker said. We're not crying, we promise!
