A woman was left stunned when she shared the happy news that she had proposed to her boyfriend, only to be met with heaps of criticism from women who claimed she had 'stolen his job'.
Ukabed Sheybani, 24, only met her now-fiance Cherno Ameri on Tinder in March, but claims she knew it was 'something special' early on, and so took the romantic step to pop the question.
The bride-to-be from Karlstad, Sweden, captured the moment she got down on one knee and shared it on TikTok, and the video quickly picked up 10 million views and more than 25,000 comments.

Sweet, right? Well, Ukabed was 'shocked' to discover that after posting her video, she was inundated with negative comments from those claiming her choice to propose rather than wait for Cherno to do it was 'embarrassing' and made her appear 'easy'.
Sorry, have we teleported back to the 1920s?
Comments included a message form one TikTok user which read: "When it comes to this, I'm not a feminist."

Meanwhile, another said: "Yeah, this is a no. I'm sure if he hasn't proposed, it is for a reason."
"Girl don't do that, I kinda felt for his embarrassment. Let's keep the traditional way where the guy asks the girl," wrote a third.
As a fourth cruelly chimed in: "How to say you're easy without saying you're easy."
Student Ukabed - who is studying to be a social worker - said she couldn't believe how many negative comments her video amassed, including messages from women who claimed to be feminists.
"I appreciate we got a lot of positive comments, but we also got comments that said 'I'm not feminist when it comes to this," she said. "That really struck me as odd - how can you choose when you're going to be feminist?

"There were also people saying that it was his job to propose to me, and I'd taken the role from him. That shocked us - we believe in equality."
Ukabed said that she didn't think proposing would be a "big deal", seeing as we're in an equal society, and all.
Despite the criticism, the couple also received supportive messages from 'at least 20' women who had also gotten down on one knee to propose.
"Damn the girls in these comments are so insecure. Non-traditional proposals are the best," one person wrote.

As another concurred: "This is the issue with society, stop living by other people's expectations, have your own life and make your own decisions and you'll be happier."
"Girl yes!! So happy for you," another encouraged. "To the GIRLS saying y'all would rather die, welp glad it's not you then. Sit down please."
Even after all the comforting messages, she said: "I still felt sad when I saw all the negative comments.
"Why would people react like this? Why can't they be happy that I'm happy?
"How can they judge my life when they don't know anything about us? It made me mad.

"I got angry when I saw comments saying, 'You're so easy' or 'Girls don't chase, they attract.' I felt like saying 'What do you mean? Do you believe in equality or not?'
"Other people were telling me it wasn't normal. It was mostly women who were posting these negative comments.
"I'd never really spoken up about gender equality before as it's a normal thing. Both women and men should be equal and have the same opportunities in life."
Ukabed added that she didn't regret anything about popping the question.
"I'd do the same thing again, people can't affect me. I do what I want," she said.
"The proposal is something I really wanted to do, and I knew that if I didn't do it, he would.
"I really wanted to be the first one to propose, and he knew that too."
Her partner, Cherno, who runs a quilt business, said: "It was a very big surprise for me. I couldn't have imagined she was going to do it and do it two days before my birthday.
"I had wanted to propose on my birthday, but she proposed two days before at the party.
"I'm so happy she asked me."
