May's Flower Moon is set to light up the skies tonight - and an astrologer has warned that four star signs are going to be 'strongly affected'.
As per the BBC, the lunar event will be at its fullest at 6:23pm in the UK (1:24 pm EDT), with the unique name being a reference to how this month is when flowers begin to bloom.
Tonight's full moon is in Scorpio and is also a 'micromoon,' meaning it will appear slightly smaller than usual as it's at the furthest point away in its orbit from Earth.
But what does it mean for us? Well, for those of us who believe that the stars and planets can affect the course of our lives, there's actually a lot to delve into.

Speaking on behalf of Mecca Bingo, astrologer Israel Ajose explained to Tyla that the Flower Moon 'is the traditional name given to the full moon in May, associated with the abundance of flowers blooming during Spring'.
The expert said: "In 2026, the Flower Moon takes place on 1 May, and astrologically it falls in Scorpio. This means that while the Sun is moving through Taurus, the Moon is directly opposite it in Scorpio, creating a Full Moon across the Taurus-Scorpio axis.
"Scorpio is a sign connected with depth, transformation, emotional intensity, secrets, intimacy, power, loss, rebirth, and psychological truth.
"Therefore, a Flower Moon in Scorpio is not simply about gentle spring renewal; it is about deep emotional flowering. It asks us to look beneath the surface and recognise what must be released, healed, or transformed."
It symbolises 'growth, renewal, fertility, emotional blossoming, and the full emergence of what has been developing beneath the surface'.
"Because this one occurs in Scorpio, the growth is not only external but internal. It is a Moon of emotional truth, shadow work, cleansing, and personal rebirth," Israel added, "This is a powerful time to ask: What am I ready to release? What truth can no longer be avoided? What part of me is ready to transform?”
We can expect our emotions to feel 'stronger, deeper, and more revealing'.
This is because Scorpio Full Moons often bring hidden feelings to the surface, especially around 'trust, intimacy, shared finances, jealousy, attachment, control, and emotional vulnerability'.
Israel explained: “This is also a time of culmination. Situations that have been building quietly may reach a turning point. The energy favours honesty, closure, emotional release, and reclaiming personal power rather than beginning something entirely new."
The four signs affected the most will be - Taurus, Scorpio, Leo, and Aquarius.
The astrologer outlined: "Scorpio may experience a powerful personal awakening. Taurus may feel relationship or emotional security themes come into focus. Leo may feel shifts around home, family, or inner foundations. Aquarius may experience pressure or clarity around career, direction, and public life.
"Water signs, which are Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces, often find this Moon emotionally intuitive and spiritually revealing, while earth signs, which are Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn, may benefit from grounding the emotional intensity into practical decisions."
Full Moons are also often associated with heightened emotion, restlessness, vivid dreams, and disrupted sleep.
Israel warns that astrologically, this Scorpio Full Moon may 'intensify emotional processing, making people feel more sensitive, introspective, suspicious, passionate, or psychologically alert'.
He advised: “Some may sleep lightly or experience powerful dreams because the subconscious is more active. It may help to avoid overstimulation, heavy conversations, alcohol, or excessive screen time before bed. Grounding practices, calming tea, journaling, meditation, and a warm bath can all help settle the nervous system.”
The astrologer advised that the Flower Moon is best celebrated through 'simple but meaningful rituals', such as writing a candle, journaling honestly, cleansing your space, taking a quiet walk in nature, or writing down what you are ready to release.
"Because Scorpio rules deep emotional truth, this is a good time for private reflection rather than loud celebration," he said, “A beautiful ritual would be to write down one emotional pattern, fear, or attachment you are ready to let go of, and then safely burn or tear the paper as a symbol of release.”
