Superbad and The Wolf Of Wall Street star Jonah Hill had the world at his feet, when he suddenly decided to move away from Hollywood.
The actor was at the top of his game when he stepped away from the spotlight, and has now opened up about the reasoning behind his decision.
Hill and his wife, Olivia Millar, now live in 'a very small town in San Diego' instead with their two children, after making the move there some three years ago.
The couple previously lived in Los Angeles, but Hill praised their move, saying 'it’s amazing, and my neighbours are incredible people.'

He was speaking on the SmartLess podcast when he gave a shout out to his wife, who he called his 'best friend', and praised her for improving his life and giving him a family.

Hill shared how when he met Millar, he knew things had to change, and fans were recently wowed by a whole new look for him.
"When we had our first kid, we moved out there three years ago, I wanted to leave L.A. and raise a family outside of Los Angeles," he explained.
He praised his 'cool' neighbours further, adding: "They never treat me weird or ask me about my job or anything."
The star continued: "My neighbour is one of my great friends, Dr. Sean, he never asked. He’s here tonight. He never bothered me or was like, ‘Oh, what’s this person like?’"
Despite the move, he says he still appreciates Los Angeles: "I grew up here, L.A. was such a cool place to grow up in the ’90s because you could go skateboard downtown or you could sneak into a movie premiere or you could go sneak into a comedy club and see Chris Rock or something."

"You had access to show business stuff but you had access to punk and skating and graffiti and all the naughty stuff. And there was no internet. It was just so awesome," he recalled.
Hill only recently shared the news of his marriage and that the couple had welcomed a new arrival.
He revealed all to Martin Scorsese of all people for a chat with Interview Magazine published just this month, where he confessed: "I have two kids now!"
Hill said sweetly: "The only thing that could ever separate me from my family is the editing room. I love the writing, I love the shooting, but editing—it’s like dessert every day. Even the problems are dessert."
He also shared his nerves about Scorsese watching his project: “I was saying to my wife, ‘He’s seeing it over the weekend' so what if he hates it but already agreed to do it?”
It seems to have all gone well.
