There was always something so satisfying about seeing Charlie Bucket opening up that one-in-a-million Wonka bar and seeing that flash of gold. Well, we were more interested in tasting the chocolate, but the prize is good too!

Thanks to Aldi's new 'golden ticket' scheme, you can now live out your childhood dreams of singing "I've Got a Golden Ticket" in the street and winning top cash prizes.

Each ticket has been hidden within Aldi's Dairyfine Golden Giveaway Chocolate Bars - look for the golden scroll on the label to ensure you're not missing out.

There are just 25 golden tickets distributed across the entire country - that's almost 910 Aldi stores!

Each ticket has a cash prize assigned to it, so sadly you won't be visiting any whimsical chocolate factories anytime soon. Prizes start at £5,000 and run all the way up to a whopping £10,000.

Just five-out-of-25 tickets will award you the top prize, so get in there quick!

The competition starts today (1st November) and each prize has to be claimed by 24th January 2022. The giant-sized bars cost £4.99 each. If you find a glorious golden ticket in the contents of your wrapper, the cash can be claimed on the Aldi website via an application form.

Aldi's promotion is the first real revival of the 'golden ticket' era. Back in 2005, the release of Tim Burton's Charlie And The Chocolate Factory saw replica Wonka Bars flooding store shelves around the UK. Only a select few of the treats contained their own golden ticket.

Each chocolate bar has a festive message written inside - so even if you can't claim any cash, it's well worth getting your hands on these Christmassy sweet treats.

The competition closes at midnight on 24th January, and all submissions entered after the date won't be counted.
