She also revealed how she was still affected from being a victim of revenge porn aged just 14, when a boy who had asked her to send naked photos then distributed them around school.
Zara tearfully revealed while she was excluded from school for sending the photo, the boy in question received no punishment.

The documentary saw Zara explore whether perpetrators should be receiving harsher punishments for their actions, as well as speaking to other women who had also had intimate pictures shared online.
After watching the 60 minute programme, viewers took to Twitter to thank Zara for her bravery around such a difficult subject.
"Cannot recommend Zara McDermott's BBC Three documentary 'Revenge Porn' enough. There is not enough discussion on this stigmatised topic," one fan wrote.
Another added: "Everyone watch Zara McDermott's documentary 'Revenge Porn' on BBC, Especially guys. It's not the girl that should be embarrassed and bullied, but the guy that sends the picture to people. Society is messed up."

A third said: "So much respect to Zara McDermott for the revenge porn documentary, such an eye opener and a topic that needs to be talked about!! if you haven't already it's a must watch."

While a fourth wrote: "Absolutely choked watching Zara McDermott's revenge porn documentary. I have so many memories of this happening at school and of the 'send me a pic' culture. It was nothing short of traumatic. My heart goes out to anyone that's been affected in this way."
"Triggering but essential watch," added a fifth. "Very brave of Zara McDermott to share her story."

Zara has also spoken out about the trauma she still feels after being a victim of revenge porn.
"I got to a place where I was suicidal. That's how bad it was," she told BBC News after the documentary was released. "Knowing that when [the images] came out, I was actually going to be bullied more - that was something I couldn't bear. I'd say it does still affect me to this day."
