Netflix Drops First Look At Bridgerton Season 2 As Part Of Tudum Event

Netflix Drops First Look At Bridgerton Season 2 As Part Of Tudum Event

The preview was dropped as part of Netflix's much-anticipated Tudum event.

Netflix has dropped a first look at the much-anticipated Bridgerton season 2.

The sneak peek was shared as part of the streamer's Tudum event on Saturday. You can watch the clip below:

Announcing the big reveal, a spokesperson for Netflix said: "Dust off your finest regency attire, and prepare to fall in love (again) with this exclusive first look at Season 2."

While season one focused on Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor) and her introduction into the social season to find a husband, as well as the ongoing cat-and-mouse sexual tension between her and the beautiful Duke of Hastings (Regé-Jean Page), season two will focus on an entirely different circle of characters.

Netflix has previously said that season two will focus on Daphne's brother Anthony (

Netflix has previously said that season two will focus on Daphne's brother Anthony (Jonathan Stuart Bailey), whom we were introduced to in season one, as he tries to find a suitable wife.

Newcomer Simone Ashley will be playing his potential bride, in what we suspected to be an enemies-to-lovers plot should the story follow the plot in the The Viscount Who Loved Me, the second book in Julia Quinn's Bridgerton books, which the series was originally inspired by.

However, as Netflix did with the first book, we are assuming that Netflix will be taking certain liberties with the new season.

Bridgerton has already been renewed for season three and season four though it has not been confirmed whether those storylines will also follow the books.

Though season two's focal point is different to the first series, we will still be seeing Daphne and how she deals with new motherhood. However, the Duke of Hastings will sadly not be returning.

Though fans were hoping to see Bridgerton's new series this Autumn, filming had to be delayed because of Covid-19. We may have to wait a bit longer to see what happens to the Bridgerton family but it will likely be worth it.
