The Gentlemen star Theo James addresses Meghan Markle season 3 rumours as he jokes other royal will play his ‘love interest’ in Netflix series
The Gentlemen is back on Netflix today (3 September), and there’s already plenty of drama before Eddie Horniman has even had a chance to cause more trouble.
Season two of Guy Ritchie’s hit crime series has just landed on the streamer with Theo James returning as Eddie alongside Kaya Scodelario as Susie Glass.
The returning cast also includes Ray Winstone, Daniel Ings, Joely Richardson, Vinnie Jones and Giancarlo Esposito, while new additions include Hugh Bonneville, Michele Morrone, Benedetta Porcaroli, Benjamin Clementine and Maya Jama.
And while fans have plenty of new episodes to get stuck into, one particular rumour has been catching the attention of many royal fans: Meghan Markle could reportedly appear in season three. Check out the official trailer for season two here:

The speculation emerged amid reports surrounding Meghan and Prince Harry's return to the UK.
Reports subsequently claimed the Duchess of Sussex could be considering a role in the Netflix series.
There has been no official confirmation that Meghan is joining the show, though, and James has now had his say.
Speaking to Town & Country, the actor was asked about the possibility of a royal joining the cast.
"Yes, Fergie is joining. She’ll be playing my love interest," he joked, referring to Sarah Ferguson.
He then addressed the Meghan rumours more directly, adding: "I think that was mainly a lot of hot air."
James continued: "At the moment, we’re just trying to get as many eyes on season two, and then season three will happen soon.
"But in terms of story, we have the overarching ambition of where we’re going to go. We’re going to expand the world, go to different countries. But in terms of the minutiae, I mean, it’s still very much up in the air."
Netflix has confirmed that a third season is happening, but Meghan's involvement remains unconfirmed.
The rest of The Gentlemen cast have taken a similar stance.
Kaya Scodelario said the speculation was 'way above my pay grade', while Vinnie Jones admitted he had 'only what you have' to go on.
Hugh Bonneville, meanwhile, said he had 'no idea' whether Meghan might appear.
Netflix UK scripted boss Manda Levin has also declined to shut the door completely, saying: "All bets are off."
The Gentlemen is currently available to stream on Netflix.
