MAFS UK Fans Spot Contestant Amy On The Bachelor

We’re hooked on Married At First Sight UK, but we can’t help but feel we’ve seen this all before.

While the format is familiar, with the British series seeing a major revamp to be more like the smash-hit Australian version, the contestants looking to meet the love of their lives at the altar are also no strangers to TV.

Eagle-eyed viewers have recognised Morag, Ant and Nikita from dating shows before, and now, some MAFS fans have spotted Amy Christophers previously graced our screens on 2012’s The Bachelor.

For those of us who can’t remember the 2012 series, a number of women lined up to be in with the chance of becoming Spencer Matthew’s girlfriend.

Amy compete under the name Brandy Brewer – her alias as a glamour model.

Speaking about Amy while she was on the show, Spencer said at the time: “I like Brandy as she arguably has the largest character in the house, but recently I’ve seen some softer sides to her and I want to see how far that can go.”

She was eliminated from the series in episode five.

While Khloe Evans won the competition to date Spencer, any romance they had was short-lived, as Spencer is now married to Vogue Williams and shares two children with her.

Viewers expressed their support with Amy on Thursday night’s Married At First Sight, where she discussed her traumatic past before appearing on the show.

Describing the heartbreak she felt when her fiancé abruptly left her, the former glamour model revealed she found love soon after with someone new.

However, when that relationship ended, Amy was stunned to discover she was pregnant with twins.

"One died, and I had to medically terminate the other one due to complications,” Amy said.

“That absolutely broke me. The two things I want is marriage and babies and I was so close to having both of those things and it didn’t work out.”

While she married Josh Christie, fans are sceptical whether the pair will work out – especially with their eight-year age gap.
