Dating can be hard. We all have embarrassing moments and insecurities that get in the way of our love life. But this woman has taken her previous insecurity of wearing dentures and how it impacts her dating life and has instead turned into a TikTok sensation.

Lily Magno, 25 from New Jersey, had a skateboarding accident when she was 13 years old that left her with severe trauma to her gums. Lily then began to experience serious gum infections in 2017 which led to the loss of three of her teeth including her two front teeth.

As a result, she started wearing her first dentures at the age of 24. At first, she refused to take them out in front of friends and family.
However, just a year later and Lily has completely changed her perspective on her dentures. She now has over 450,000 followers on TikTok where she pokes fun at her dating life with dentures.
Lily now promotes confidence on her platform and encourages her followers to embrace the things other people may view as ‘flaws’ and even make light jokes out of them.

While she may often describe how her joking about her dentures also goes some way in “cancelling” and “ruining” her love life, it’s all done in jest to show that the best way to go about dating is with a sense of humour.
Lily’s TikToks cover different topics about dating, such as sneaking her fake teeth out when in bed with someone, guys asking her to stop posting pics of her without her fake teeth in, nervous flirting, navigating dating apps and even men being turned on by the dentures.
Lily explains some specific experiences when it's come to her love life: "One time I was on a date and when I took my teeth out to eat, they acted repulsed.

"It used to bother me knowing guys would judge me based on my content and teeth, but now I just don’t care."
Now Lily sees her teeth as a way to tell whether a guy is worth her time or not.
"When I have negative encounters with guys I'm interested in, it just proves to me that they're too immature.

"I don't worry too much about finding love in the future because whoever I end up with won't care and I want someone who will embrace my flaws.
"I love having dentures - I used to dread them and couldn't wait to get rid of them but that feels like a lifetime ago!"
