Keith Urban was forced to shut down a pushy radio host earlier today, after they 'crossed the line' by enquiring about a series of sex scenes his wife Nicole Kidman recently acted out with a fellow star.
The Australian-American musician made an appearance on the Mix 102.3’s Hayley & Max in the Morning today (1 Jul) via telephone, with the purpose of the call to promote his incoming world tour - which kicks off on 17 July in Denver, Colorado.
During Urban's live interview with presenters Hayley Peterson and Max Burford, however, the pair attempted to introduce a popular game titled 'Wheel of Truth.'

Describing the segment, Peterson began by telling listeners: "In our 'Wall of Truth', Keith, we often get put into this situation where we have to answer a very tricky question, deeply personal question.

"I get really uncomfortable, to be honest, asking our beautiful guests something they might be uncomfortable [answering]."
Getting into the thick of it, however, Buford then took over with the inquisition, asking a rather unexpected question about 57-year-old Urban's wife, Kidman - more specifically, her intimate appearance alongside Zac Efron in Netflix's A Family Affair.

For those in need of a reminder, the Hollywood duo have been married since 2006, a year-and-a-half after the first met at G'Day LA - an event in American honouring Australians living in the States.
The couple share two daughters. Kidman is also the mother to an older son and daughter, whom she and actor Tom Cruise adopted during their short-lived marriage in 2000.
As we say, the Academy Award-winning actress recently made an appearance in the 2024 rom-com A Family Affair, in which she played a widowed writer who begins a relationship with a young actor (Zac Efron) for whom her daughter (Joey King).
The nature of the movie means that she and Efron were expected to film a number of intimate scenes together, which seemed to spike the interest of the Mix 102.3 radio hosts.
Buford asked father-of-two Urban: "I thought, 'What does Keith Urban think when he sees his beautiful wife with beautiful younger men like Zac Efron having these beautiful love scenes on TV?'"

In response, the host was rebuked with silence, with a producer of the show confirming that the singer had hung up the phone.
"He’s just disconnected from Zoom," they said. "I think his team hung up on us because they didn’t want us to ask that question."
Chiming in on the matter, Peterson added: "That’s 100 percent what’s just happened. Oh, my God!"
"I knew that would happen. We’ve upset him! He’s gone.” He doesn’t like talking about his wife."

Buford went on to claim he believed he was 'vibing' with Urban. "Does Keith Urban hate us?" he continued.
"Do we have beef with Keith Urban?"
Yikes.
