Justin Bieber’s surprise new album appears to allude to his relationship with Hailey Bieber, with the superstar referring to his model wife as his ‘diamond’.
On Friday (July 11), 31-year-old Bieber dropped his seventh studio album, Swag, the anticipated follow-up to 2021’s Justice.
The Canadian touches on everything from mental health to spousal issues across the 21-strong tracklist, and has enlisted the help of fellow stars Sexyy Red, 2 Chainz and even comedian Druski to tell his stories.
Ahead of Swag’s release, famous faces like Kid Laori and Mod Sun took to social media to pay tribute to the time Bieber has poured into his new Def Jam Recordings project.

“This is all that matters right now,” wrote Mod Sun, whose real name is Derek Ryan Smith. “Watching what @lilbieber has done over the last couple months has been the definition of REAL. Love movie.”
Meanwhile, the singer’s wife, Hailey, 28, shared an image of her listening to the second track from the album, ‘DAISIES’, on her Instagram Stories today.
Hailey has featured heavily in the promotion of Swag, with photographs of her posing alongside her husband and their 10-month-old son Jack Blues being shared on social media.

It appears the Rhode Beauty founder has also been used as somewhat of a muse, with the New York Post reporting that song ‘Walking Away’ seems to reference her in its lyrics.
“Days go by so fast, don’t wanna spend them with you / So tell me why you’re throwing stones at my back / You know I’m defenceless,” the first verse stated.
“Girl, we better stop before we say some s**t / We’ve been testing our patience / I think we better off if we just take a break.”

He later appears to call his wife a ‘diamond’, remarking: “Gave you a ring /I made you a promise / I told you, ‘I’d change’ / It’s just human nature / These growing pains / And baby, I ain’t walking away.”
Rumours regarding the breakdown of Bieber and his wife’s marriage have been swirling online for months.
For example, he previously admitted to telling Hailey she would ‘never be on the cover of Vogue magazine’. And to fuel them further, in June, Hailey was spotted out in New York City without her wedding ring on.
However, Bieber told Vogue that even though he’d done a ‘lot of dumb things’ in his life, the ‘smartest thing [he’d] ever done was marry Hailey’.

“She’s in the spotlight, and has the attention because of her effortless knack for style, business, art and fashion. And the way she makes being a mom and wife look easy.”
Meanwhile, the mother-of-one claimed she’d learned ‘so much’ from Bieber about dealing with criticism from the media.
“He’s been doing this literally since he was a child and he has had to face the most scrutiny of any person that I know,” she confessed.

“He was like, ‘Baby, trust me, I’ve been here before many, many times. You’re not going to win. There is no winning.’”
Bieber has a plethora of live dates already in the diary to promote Swag, including live shows in Mexico, Argentina, Japan and Thailand.
No news yet on whether he’s coming to the UK. If he does, it’ll be the first time since February 2023.
