People Are Putting Lush Shower Gel In Their Laundry To Make It Smell Like Candyfloss

For many, Lush's shower gel, Snow Fairy, is a staple in stockings at Christmas.
But before you slather the contents of your bottle all over your body, you might want to check out the genius new laundry hack which is doing the rounds on TikTok.
Yep, some people are putting Snow Fairy in their washing machines, and they're promising your clothes will come out in the most dreamy scent imaginable.
Taking to TikTok, user @kayleightaylor93 said: "So I saw someone add Snow Fairy to their washing machine the other day and it made their clothes smell amazing so I'm gonna do my dressing gown and see how we go."
Showing how she did it, she added: "So I've got one cup of the snow fairy and I'm just gonna put it down here in the drum with the dressing gown.
"Then I'm going to add my soap powder as normal. I'm adding a wee touch of softener."
In the TikTok, Kayleigh can be seen chucking one filled lid of the Snow Fairy into the wash before washing her dressing gown.
After giving the gown a good sniff following the wash's completion, she told followers: "It smells amazing.
"I'm fairly chuffed with that hack."
"I've just seen someone on TikTok put a capful of Lush body wash into their WASHING MACHINE to make their clothes smell like Snow Fairy I'm gobsmacked," someone wrote on Twitter after seeing the trick being shared.
As another penned: "I was today years old when I found out you can put the Lush snow fairy body wash in your washing machine with clothes to make them smell like the Snow Fairy scent. This is amazing".

While team Tyla haven't tried this trick ourselves, it seems some people have been chucking it in their washing machines for years.
Someone wrote on Twitter back in 2012: "Putting Snow Fairy shower gel in the washing machine is the best idea I've ever had. This is amazing @Lushltd".
It goes without saying that any of the brand's scents can be switched in to your wash if you didn't manage to get your hands on the seasonal Snow Fairy.
But we'd avoid putting any of the brightly coloured ones in with a white load, in case they stain.
It's worth noting that Lush haven't actually suggested using these products in washing machines, or tested them to be used as such, so do so at your own discretion.
We were sold at the prospect of candyfloss scented bed sheets, tbh...
