Former Love Island star Megan Barton-Hanson has opened up about a throuple relationship.

The 29-year-old appeared in the 2018 series of the ITV dating show, where she was coupled up with Wes Nelson.

Megan revealed on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast that she entered a throuple relationship after meeting a ‘hot woman’ with a boyfriend.

The Love Island bombshell is very open about her sexuality and came out as bisexual in 2019.

Made in Chelsea’s Jamie asked her when ‘she realised she was bisexual’.

Megan said: “At college, I had a best friend, and she had a boyfriend and I felt myself getting weirdly jealous when she’d be like, ‘Oh, I’m going to hang out with him now'.

“And I didn’t know whether it was just normal or not. I've always just appreciated women.

“And I think from a young age, even in films, I would never really look at the man. So yeah, I had weird feelings for my friend from college but never like acted on it.”

The Love Island almuna went on to explain how she ended up in a throuple: “I went and had a glamour photoshoot in the south of France and a woman was shooting me.

“She was hot and we were doing this sexy lingerie shoot together and it got a bit heated! When we got back to London, she was like, ‘I’ve got a boyfriend. But it’s an open relationship.’

“So, I started seeing them as a couple.”

Megan began publicly speaking about her sexuality during her time on Celebs Go Dating in 2019.

In a previous interview with The Sun she said: “I felt instantly liberated when I came out in such a public way in 2019 on Celebs Go Dating when I requested to date women also.

“I was so excited as a bisexual woman from a small town as I had no clue how to find other bisexual or gay women myself."

The star has recently had an on/off romance with The Only Way is Essex’s (TOWIE) James Locke.

She’s also had relationships with footballer and singer-songwriter, Chelcee Grimes, and another TOWIE star, Demi Sims.

Megan split from her Love Island boo Wes in 2019 after she accused him of getting too close to Vanessa Bauer – his partner on Dancing on Ice.

During her chat with Jamie on the podcast, she also opened up about working in a strip club, her time on the ITV dating show and asking Celebs Go Dating to ‘handpick’ her ‘some hot lesbians’.
