Love Island UK winners Lorenzo and Julia give relationship update but not everyone is happy

It's only been 7 days since they were crowned this year's Love Island winners, and already, fans of Lorenzo Alessi and Julia Mayska are convinced their days could be numbered.

The couple, who received a staggering 62.4 per cent of the public vote during last week's final, appeared on ITV's This Morning today (3 Aug) alongside runners-up, Jasmine Muller and Kavan Murphy.

During the segment, Lorenzo and Julia were prompted by presenter Josie Gibson over the 'L-word', which they revealed hadn't yet been said.

"It's going that way," the Italian hunk replied. "It's all going, the feelings are developing, everything's in the right position, and everything's moving in the right direction, so I feel like, just give it some time."

Asked if she feels the same way, Julia bluntly replied, 'Umm...', turning towards a shocked Lorenzo, who himself turned to Jasmine and Kavan.

"Where's the date?" she went on to ask him, to which Lorenzo claimed: "I've been busy, I've been busy."

Julia then demanded: "When was the last time we saw each other?"

Feeling visibly uncomfortable, Lorenzo attempted to side-step the question, telling her: "Well, I just saw you now."

The presenter then asked Lorenzo where - when he's not too 'busy' - he plans to take Julia, to which he replied: "We're going to go somewhere really nice - a nice rooftop bar..."

Before letting him finish, Julia cut in to ask: "When? When's my date?"

The bizarre interaction didn't go unnoticed by the thousands of viewers tuning in from home, who began expressing doubt as to whether their relationship truly had the legs to last.

One X user hit out: "WTFFF the good morning interview - it’s so awkward between Julia and Lorenzo."

"Julia said he has not seen Lorenzo for 5 days; that’s bad!" another wrote. "I lowkey feel bad for her!"

A third noted: "Julia just confirmed Lorenzo hasn’t seen her since they arrived in England 5 days ago and hasn’t even spoken about taking her on a date… he really ghosted her at Heathrow, your winners everyone."

A fourth went on: "Lorenzo says they are still in the same place, 'exclusively dating' but he’s yet to go out on a date with her, I'm confused - atp l'm with Julia she’s asking him when is the last time we saw each other ????? All this I need to settle down is not making sense."

Another agreed: "'Exclusive dating' but no actual dates? I’m confused too."
