New Advert For Fruit Smoothies Has Been Ruled As 'Too Rude For TV'

New Advert For Fruit Smoothies Has Been Ruled As 'Too Rude For TV'

Was this really necessary?

We get it. Health food doesn't exactly scream 'cool' and 'exciting' and brands have to think outside the box when it comes to grabbing consumer's attention.

But this advert for a smoothie brand is just one step too far. Stop that immediately.

The commercial in question was made by health food brand Swisse Me, and advert censors are calling for it to be screened after the watershed because of it's NSFW scenes.

Though, unbelievably, there's not one human body involved - just a whole lot of fruit being seductively touched. Think M&S meets PornHub.

The 30-second advert, set to a jaunty whistling soundtrack, sees a medley of fruit being stroked suggestively.

A woman strokes a banana with a single finger, a man plunged two fingers into a juicy orange, another man prises open an apricot with his hands... you get the idea.

If less subtle scenes, a stream of milk drips down the middle of a strawberry and a banana dripping with honey is lifted up. Erm, CAN WE NOT?

The final scenes show a lemon and avocado squeezed, a banana break in half, and a jet of smoothie flying over raspberries and blueberries which lay on a bed of spinach leaves.

Despite the advert being so wrong on so many levels (It can't be just us that is put off by the finger nails?! WHY OH WHY), the makers stand by their creation.

Who casted these finger nails? (

Nykkea Maretic, from Swisse Me, said: "There's nothing more natural than getting a mouthful of fruit, which is exactly what our smoothies are packed with.

"All the goodness, with none of the filth.

"We can deliver them straight to your letterbox too, in case you want to be discreet."

We get it, fruit = sex.

She continues: "We know how tricky it is to get in daily vitamins and minerals, so we've made it super easy with handy smoothies in 12 deliciously naughty flavours."

Oh, come ON (

The advert's director Rowan Adams added: "This isn't just any food porn commercial - it is a health food porn commercial."

We think we'll pass on the smoothie this time, ta...
