1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton has been forced to issue a statement after being met with vaping accusations following her skin removal surgery.
For those who aren’t familiar with the icon that is Tammy, she rose to fame on the reality show alongside her sister Amy, as the cameras followed them on their respective weight loss journeys.
And this week, the TV star, 38, finally revealed the results of her skin removal procedure, which got rid of the loose skin that was making her ‘insecure’ after her incredible weight loss.

Tammy took viewers along on her journey, which included a 14-month stay in a weight loss rehab facility and bariatric surgery in July 2022, and has since seen her shed an incredible 500-lb.
However, after shedding the pounds, the reality star - who at her heaviest weighed 725 pounds - still wanted to get the loose skin removed to complete her transformation.

But, Tammy had initially struggled to get approved for the procedure due to her vaping habit.

This is because nicotine can delay healing and increase the risk of infection.
Sadly, Tammy’s joy around the results of her op have been slightly overshadowed by people accusing her of still vaping.
It began after a clip of Tammy at a meet and greet posted on TikTok began doing the rounds online, where she was seen using what looked like a vape.
Viewers rushed to the comments to write: “Please tell me Tammy is not vaping again” and “Not the vape”.

Another user penned on Twitter: “I know damn well Tammy ain’t vaping. This girl was knocking on death’s door and then you turn around and vape? She gave up one addiction for another. #1000lbsisters.”

Meanwhile, another concerned fan chimed in with: “Why is Tammy so angry and stubborn on the quit Vaping?? Her health and surgery is more important than social vaping! #tlc #1000lbSisters.”
Not that it’s really our business what she gets up to in her spare time, Tammy clarified that the vape was nicotine-free in a post on Instagram on Wednesday (11 June).

She wrote: “Everyone freaking out about me vaping, it’s non nicotine.”
The reality star confirmed: “I haven’t smoked nicotine in a year smh. Everybody always got something to say about everything but themselves, it’s ridiculous.”
Here, here Tammy.
In a season six episode of the show, which aired in December, Tammy admitted she was ‘p*ssed’ due to the delay in her getting the surgery.

In another interview, she confessed: "It’s hard to walk because of the skin. I walk like a daggone penguin. My belly goes this way and I’m going that way."
"I’ve been waiting to hear that I can get my skin removal for so long," she later added. "When I get rid of the skin, I’m going to be a brand-new me. Bette. I’m going to become a model and walk the catwalk."
In the new season finale, which aired on 10 June, Tammy finally saw the results of the procedure, which removed 15 pounds of the excess skin.
The emotional clip showed the reality star in her hospital bed after the surgery as someone brings over a mirror so she can see her new look.
Emotional, she said: “I’m shocked. Like, I feel so weird. I don’t have my hanging b******* off my face.
“My bat wings are gone too. And I look down and there’s not nothing there but my lap now. It’s gonna take a little while for me to get used to seeing myself like this.”
