Emotional is an understatement.

The Friends reunion brought the main cast members back together on set for the first time since 2004, and to say it was emotional is an understatement.

Jennifer Aniston, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry and Lisa Kudrow all visited the set of Friends, where they made so many memories during the show's 10 seasons.

At the start of the reunion special, the cast arrive at the recreated apartment set on Stage 24 at the Warner Bros. Studios in California.

David is the first cast member to arrive on the set and he is close to tears as he explores the empty apartment. "It's beautiful," he says, recalling filming the pilot episode and 'opening the umbrella' in the beginning.

"Where is everyone? I wanna see everyone!" he says.

He's then joined by Lisa and after they hug, the pair notice a wooden beam that was present in the early episodes but was eventually removed because it 'got in the way'.

Jennifer is in tears as soon she steps on to set. "Okay so where's the tissue box?!" she says after hugging and kissing Lisa and David.

When Matt LeBlanc arrives, he reveals that Courteney Cox would write her lines on the wooden table to help her remember them and during one episode he erased them as a prank. "She got so mad at me!" he recalls.

Courteney also arrives in tears, and as she hugs David she asks Jennifer: "Did you cry too?"

Matthew Perry is the last person to arrive and after he greets everyone, Matt LeBlanc asks: "Has that wall always been purple?".

Matthew quips: "Yeah! You've gone crazy."

The Friends reunion is filled with delightful and touching moments, including Matt LeBlanc revealing he suffered a dislocated arm during the filming of the episode 'The One Where No One's Ready'. This episode also happened to be the only one where the cast skipped their huddle ritual before the show.

But the most shocking revelation is that Jennifer and David had crushes on each other IRL.

After being quizzed by host James Corden about any off-screen romances, Jennifer and David confess they were 'crushing hard' on each other.

Unfortunately for Ross and Rachel shippers, Jennifer reveals the pair were never able to truly explore their feelings off-screen. She even admitted to David at the time that she didn't want their first kiss to be 'on national TV' but as we now know, that's exactly what happened.

"I remember saying to David, 'It's gonna be really such a bummer if the first time you and I actually kiss is gonna be on national television' and sure enough the first time we kissed was in that coffee shop."
