People are calling Netflix series similar to Harry Potter the 'best series ever'

Fans are begging for more episodes of the popular series

If you're a Harry Potter fan in need of a new series to watch, then good news, because one of Netflix's shows has been hailed as 'the best series ever'.

Okay, okay, that might be a big statement when taking into account shows like Stranger Things and Gossip Girl, but that's at least the opinion of some fans who have taken to social media to express their love for the series.

The Order actually first arrived on Netflix in 2020, so there is already a pretty big fanbase out there, but if anything the fact that the show has been around a couple of years is good news for those who have only just discovered the series.

Because it was first created in 2019, The Order already has two series to offer new fans, with a grand total of 20 episodes each around 40 to 50 minutes long. If that's not a recipe for a bingeing session, I don't know what is.

The series is described on Netflix as 'dark', 'suspenseful' and a 'horror', but its fantastical storylines means it's perfect for grown-up fans of Harry Potter.

One new fan took to Twitter to announce their excitement over the discovery, writing: "Found The Order on @netflix and it felt like it reignited my love for magic. Idk if I've ever binged a show so quickly... The last time i felt this invested was as a kid watching Harry Potter for the first time."

Starring Jake Manley, Sarah Grey, Adam DiMarco, Louriza Tronco and others, The Order follows the story of a college student out to avenge his mother's death, who finds himself in 'a war between werewolves and practitioners of dark magic'.

Though new fans will have a lot to binge, unfortunately it doesn't look like there's a third series in the works - much to the dismay of those who have already watched the series.

Longtime fans have repeatedly called for more episodes of the show, with one viewer writing: "How could Netflix cancel The Order, it is one of the best tv shows/series of all time. I love The Order. It is the best series EVER!"

Another tweeted the streaming service, writing: "@netflix you guys really need to bring back the order season 3 you guys let a lot of people down not bringing it back #TheOrder."

Evidently even the existing 20 episodes of The Order are worth watching, but hopefully the renewed interest in the show will encourage Netflix to bring it back for more.
