She took to TikTok to share her elation

A singer who released her final song after being diagnosed with terminal cancer has just shared her heartwarming reaction to the song reaching the charts.

Cat Janis, who lives in Virginia, was tragically diagnosed with Sarcoma back in 2022, and has since been sharing her journey with her 1.6 million followers on TikTok.

The 31-year-old mum-of-one found a lump in her neck - which was identified as a rare tumour - and she ended up having radiation and chemotherapy to remove it.

However, sadly the cancer returned – this time in her lungs – in May 2023.

Early last month, Cat confirmed she was in hospice treatment, having 'changed all the rights' of her songs to her seven-year-old son, Loren, while also releasing one last hit titled 'Dance You Outta My Head'.

"I might not be here but my baby boy will be," she told fans.

Since then, the track has sky-rocketed to No. 11 on the charts with the overlay text on a short clip Cat posted reading: "I'm charting on Billboard!"

"YOU ALL GAVE ME MY ONE MORE MOMENT ALIVE AND I AM FOREVER GRATEFUL," Cat captioned the post with a series of heart emojis.

"Offically Billboard Charting top 40 artist!!!!!!! #billboard #viraltiktok ALSO TOP 50 TIKTOK VIRAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

More than 22. 3 million people have since seen the video with dozens of thousands of Cat's fans rushing in to share their praise for the monumental milestone achievement with one TikTok user writing: "CONGRATULATIONS YOU DESERVE IT!!!!"

A second penned: "I’m so delighted by this."

"Anything is possible let’s get her in the top 10!!!" offered a third, while a fourth chimed in: "Yes!!! We're behind you girl!!!! Dreams do come true!!!"

A fifth praised: "We gotcha girl!!!! And such a good song!"

"Honestly, the beat has been stuck in my head and it's such a fun song. It's brightened this month up for me so much!" offered a sixth.

A seventh added: "Because you and your music is absolutely amazing!"

"This is the most beautiful story I have seen on this app," commented another. "Bittersweet but I’m so glad you got to see this dream happen."

A final TikTok user echoed: "I'm so glad we, the TikTok collective, showed up and showed out - you deserve it!!"
