Start your engines, squirrel friends, because Michelle Visage has officially been confirmed as a judge on RuPaul's Drag Race UK. YASSSSSSSSSS.

The Drag Race icon will join fellow judge RuPaul as they bring their mix of glamour and sass to the UK.

RuPaul and Michelle will find the next drag superstar here in the UK after a series of rounds that will test the queen's modelling and acting abilities, amongst a host of other things.

Speaking about her role, Michelle told the BBC: "We've been working tirelessly to bring the magic of RuPaul's Drag Race to my favourite city in the world: London!.

"I know the UK has a wealth of talent to offer and I'm thrilled beyond belief to see these queens battle it out on the main stage, UK-style.

"GOD SAVE THE QUEENS!"

Executive Drag Race producers Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato said: "Michelle has worked tirelessly to help bring Drag Race to the UK - we are grateful she is part of our family. She is a quadruple threat: she sings, she dances, she acts, and boy, can she judge! Queens beware!"

News of the UK series landed in December, when RuPaul herself confirmed the British version of the show would land on BBC Three this year.

Speaking in December, Rupaul said: "I am beyond excited to celebrate the massive charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent of the Queen's queens.

"And before anyone asks, yes, we would be thrilled to have Meghan Markle join us, as we are already preparing a 'Royal-Mother-To-Be' runway challenge."

A TV source told The Sun: "This is a massive coup for the Beeb as lots of other UK channels wanted this show. It will follow the exact same format as the American version with British twists and some famous guests. [sic]

"It'll be filmed in London and casting directors will be searching for the best drag artists Britain has to offer - there'll be a huge budget for costumes and production, and bosses are hoping a star is born. It's really exciting for everyone involved and is expected to draw a lot of new fans to the franchise.

"RuPaul has a cult following so it's massive news."
