Nothing can ruin a day like a bad skin day. But this TikToker claims that a frozen cucumber could be the trick to help you out with that.

Yep, @alexaraeloebel uses frozen cucumbers in her skincare routine and alleges that the fruit helps alleviate her dark circles and pimples.

Watch the clip below of the frozen cucumber in action:

As you can see, you just rub the end of the frozen cucumber in circles around your face and in your problem areas and then go about your day (quick note though, make sure to let the end thaw a tad before applying it directly, you don’t want ice burn).

However, the video creator did clarify some things in the comments.

One puzzled commenter asked: “Do you cut the end off after each use? Or just cut once and keep reusing?”

Alexa replied: “Yes cut the end off each time and keep reusing until the cucumber is almost gone!”

Someone else asked her when exactly to use it in your skincare routine: “Morning or night?!”

“Either or both! I did both yesterday”, said Alexa.

She also clarified “Make sure you're rinsing, using under eye cream + serums and moisturizer”.

People were super keen to add this extra step to their regime.

“Just started this today”, commented one viewer.

Another person declared: “BRB I'm throwing my cucumber that I wasn't going to eat anyways in the freezer”.

“This is insane. I am definitely gonna try”, someone else replied to the video.

One commenter also tried to explain why the cucumbers seemed to do the trick. They said: “Cucumbers are naturally cooling and soothing to skin irritations while they gently clean and moisturize the skin.”

And it seems like some people have also been impressed with the results.

One TikTok user commented: “Girl this literally SAVED my face tysm”.

Someone else said: “My mom taught me this when I was younger! Her skin is so youthful and baby smooth”.

An excuse to ditch the cucumber in the salad...
