Viewers tuning into Channel 4's new series, Sex Actually, were shook during this week's episode, when presenter Alice Levine joined a group of people experiencing a 'full body orgasm'.

You can watch the clip below:

Alice joined the group in a church hall, where they claimed to be able to experience a full body orgasm based on the power of thought.

Alice tried to join in herself but admitted it wasn't quite working for her.

"After a lot of heavy breathing and under-carriage clenching, the magic started to happen around me," she said.

"As I looked around me I wondered if I was the only person missing out on this potentially euphoric experience."

And people were shocked at the scene on social media, with many cracking jokes about what they were watching.

One person tweeted: "Imagine doing orgasm class in a church hall. #sexactually."

While another said: "I think I’d be having a full body laughing attack rather than orgasm at one of these workshops #sexactually."

And a third added: "Honestly have no idea what this full body orgasm is. I think I’ll stick to the traditional way of achieving it."

"Is everybody watching Chanel 4 at the moment? Omg what the f**k is this #sexactually," added another.

The Louis Theroux-produced series sees Alice “stepping out of [her] comfort zone to explore the ways we now do sex in our traditionally conservative country.

“... Alice will be invited into the nation’s bedrooms, challenging her own preconceptions and discovering what happens when the shackles of sexual conformity are abandoned.”

Speaking about what it's been like to work with Louis on the doc, Alice said: "We are both fascinated by the contradictions of people’s lives – the strange and transgressive, next to the mundane and ordinary, in one person’s story.

“I hope that these films will be both warm and funny, surprising and sensitive. And if we can take the taboo out of talking about sex, that’s a huge bonus.”

Sex Actually continues Wednesdays at 10pm on Channel 4.
