Viewers are calling for Samuel Adewunmi to win a BAFTA award for his 'outstanding' performance in You Don't Know Me.

The BBC crime drama dropped earlier this week, and fans have been praising its gripping plot and brilliant acting - with some binging all four episodes in the space of a day.

The series stars Samuel (who viewers might recognise from Angela Black) as Hero, a man who finds himself accused of the murder of a young boy.

While Hero is adamant of his innocence, the evidence against him is overwhelming, including blood under his fingernails, and firearms residue on his skin.

Hero is determined to defend himself by dismissing his counsel as he presents his version of events to the court, arguing that the murder is linked to a woman named Kyra (played by Sophie Wilde) who Hero fell in love with and later went missing.

Viewers have been hooked to the series, with many binge watching the episodes in one go, and others calling 'absolutely gripping'.
