Monday night’s finale episode of Married At First Sight UK saw all the couples in the experiment regroup for a catch-up, and things were explosive to say the least.
While there’s clearly no love lost between Morag Crichton and Luke Dawson (and Nikita versus basically everyone), there have been a few glimmers of light from the experiment that have made us believe in true love again.
Our hearts soared when we saw Matt Jameson and Daniel McKee, the show’s first-ever gay pairing – still going strong, despite reservations about where they were going to live.

The twosome, who went from strength to strength after their marriage ceremony, found themselves torn; Matt was reluctant to leave behind the hectic city life of Leeds, while Daniel desperately wanted to stay in his beloved hometown of County Atrim in Northern Ireland.
Well, it seems the pair have made their decision, with Matt and Daniel revealing to OK! magazine that they’re choosing to live in Northern Ireland.
“I know there’s a lot of compromise needed for Matt to move, and that’s why we’re not in a rush and we took the summer to go between our two places,” Daniel explained. “In the New Year, we will look at getting a mortgage and buying a house together.”

“It’s very exciting!” Matt added. “Northern Ireland is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to.”
It wasn’t an easy decision for Matt to come to.
“Compromise has been key but we feel it’s the right decision.”

Now, the pair are considering their future – with starting a family now on the cards.
“It’s something we both want and it will strengthen our relationship, but we’re also realistic about the situation,” Dan says. “I can’t push a baby out and neither can Matt, and we need to have a set up and have our careers sorted. But it will happen. Our parents are very supportive and, if you want a family, you do need to have a strong network on both sides.”
N’awwww, you guys!
