It really is a wonderful time to be vegan.

Recently, we learnt that Domino's has a vegan pizza range in the works, Galaxy is working on a vegan chocolate bar and McDonald's is bringing out its first fully plant based Happy Meal, too

Now, following on from its incredibly successful vegan sausage roll launch earlier this year, Greggs is upping the anti as well, bringing out a whole range of meat free goods just in time for Veganuary.

Veganuary is an annual challenge in which people try to cut out meat and dairy for a month, and it looks like the bakery is really relishing the challenge, having recently announced an extended vegan range for 2020.

The high street chain has been teasing its new vegan launch for a while now, with its chief executive Roger Whiteside revealing they were working on a whole load more plant based recipes back in August, and the store's official Twitter account even asking customers which vegan products they'd like to see last month.

Tyla has contacted Greggs for any info on the top secret new releases, and while the store is keeping its cards very close to its chest ahead of the big reveal, we've now got a pretty good idea what two of the new products are, thanks to a couple of sneaky Instagram posts leaking details.

Sharing pictures to their page, popular Instagram page Vegan Food UK seemed to confirm that a Vegan Steak Bake and a Vegan Glazed Doghnut are coming in the New Year.

The account shared a picture of a price label for the Vegan Steak Bake spotted in a store, which looks like pretty solid evidence to us, tbh.

Brandished with the words NEW on it in large capital letters, the 380 calorie Vegan Steak Beak's description reads: "Savoury flavour Quorn mycroptrotein pieces and diced onions in gravy, wrapped in crisp puff pastry". Yum.

It is being advertised as £1.55 to takeaway or £1.85 in store. And people are already going mad for the news.

"THIS IS GOING TO BE EPIC!!!!!!!", one person wrote in the comments.

While another also rejoiced, adding: "Dreams come true".

A third joked: "Piers Morgan is going to explode".

Alongside the meaty alternative, some people on social media have already claimed to have tried a Vegan Glazed Ring Doughnut from the chain, although it isn't said to have officially launched nationwide, yet.

Reportedly costing just 60p, the sugary treat looks exactly like the non-vegan alternative in a picture shared by the same vegan Insta account - and hopefully it tastes just the same too.

Seemingly confirming we'd all be getting a taste soon, under the image, one person wrote: "Just asked in my Greggs and he said they should get them in the 1st few weeks of January!! Cant wait to try!!"

While another added: "Omgosh this is info my heart loves but my jeans don't!!!".

This vegan launch is definitely not one to be missed. We're keeping our eyes peeled and we'll let you know as soon as we have more info!
