Christmas has come early for Greggs customers this year. The high street bakery has announced two delicious festive bakes - and one of them is vegan.
The original festive bake, which launched in 2009 and has gained a cult following in the years since, will be joined by the brand new vegan festive bake following a surge in demand.

It's a Christmas miracle for customers who begged the bakery chain for a vegan version.
First announced on the Greggs social media pages on Thursday, customers are already celebrating having their wish granted ahead of the return of the festive bake and the launch of the vegan version next month.
The classic festive bake (£1.60) is filled with tasty pieces of chicken, sage and onion stuffing and sweetcure bacon, smothered in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce and encased in crumb topped pastry.
We're drooling already.

Taking inspo from the original, the vegan-friendly version (also £1.60) swaps chicken for Quorn mycoprotein pieces, sage and onion stuffing and a vegan bacon crumb, finished with a mouth-watering sage and cranberry sauce encased in puff pastry.
Hannah Squirrell, Customer Director at Greggs, said: “The Festive Bake is the latest iconic Greggs Bake to receive a vegan-friendly makeover, and it retains all the classic Christmassy flavours of the original.
“There’s nothing better over the festive season than tucking into delicious Christmas food, and we’re confident that customers will love our latest tasty Bakes.”

The new bake is another scrumptious addition to the on-the-go retailer’s increasingly popular vegan range, following the 2019 debut of the Vegan Sausage Roll, 2020’s hearty Vegan Steak Bake and the Vegan Sausage, Bean and CheeZe Melt that took customers by storm this summer.
The original vegan festive bake and the vegan-friendly version will be available in all Greggs shops from Thursday 4th November.
