Fans of Greggs' Christmas offerings are buzzing after one of the bakery's festive favourites hit supermarket shelves just in time for the holidays.

We all love a cheeky Greggs and, from Christmas lunch baguettes to sweet mince pies, its festive menu arguably offers some of its best treats.

Now, as Santa prepares his sleigh ready for the big day, you can find one of its most popular seasonal snacks in the frozen food aisle of a major UK supermarket chain.

The bakery chain's famous festive bake — which is packed with chicken breast pieces, sage and onion stuffing, and bacon, in a creamy sage and cranberry sauce — is being stocked as a bake-from-frozen product by Iceland.

The popular pastry product costs just £3.50 for a pack of two and is available to buy both in stores and online.

One of Greggs' festive favourites is now available to buy frozen from a major UK supermarket chain.

All shoppers will need to do to tuck in to the 'top tier bake' is bake them flat side down for 30 minutes in a pre-heated oven.

Predictably, Greggs fans are going wild over the bake's supermarket arrival, with a post about the news shared in the Snack News and Reviews group on Facebook sending them into a frenzy.

One person wrote: "Got some today they are gorgeous," while another added: "I will be stocking up the freezer."

A third user commented: "My Christmas faves are back," and a fourth simply said: "Oh God yes!"

The festive bake will still be available to buy fresh in Greggs stores across the country for £1.95 or £3.20 as part of the chain's savoury and hot drink deal.

But, as the season of giving rolls in, some Greggs fans were disappointed to learn that the vegan version of the festive bake wouldn't be appearing on the Christmas menu this year.

The vegan option, which had fans drooling when it was released two years ago, is filled with Quorn protein pieces, sage and onion stuffing, a vegan bacon crumb and a creamy sage and cranberry sauce.

Instead, Greggs has introduced a new spicy vegetable curry bake, which features mixed vegetables, chickpeas, rice and chilli and a warming curry sauce.

All hope is not lost for vegan bake devotees though as, while it won't be appearing in stores this festive season, it will be available from Iceland as an online exclusive.

Like its meaty counterpart, the vegan festive back is being sold as a pack of two for £3.50.
