Gabby Petito Fans Spot Chilling Detail In Brian Laundrie's Choice Of Book

Gabby Petito Fans Spot Chilling Detail In Brian Laundrie's Choice Of Book

Social media users have been looking into the tragic death of Gabby Petito.

Social media users looking into the death of Gabby Petito have noticed a chilling detail about Brian Laundrie's choice of books.

In a video uploaded by the couple about their journey across the States, Laundrie - who is a person of interest in the case, but currently missing - can be seen reading a book titled Annihilation.

The novel - by Jeff VanderMeer - focuses on a group of women who go missing while exploring a fictional coastal location that's been cut off from civilisation.

Three of the women in the book die while one remains missing. In a clip, Laundrie can be seen reading the novel while sitting on a hammock. You can watch it below:

Of course, there's no evidence that the book is linked to Gabby's disappearance and death.

Meanwhile in separate social media photos, Laundrie can also be seen enjoying another book - Lullaby by Chuck Palahniuk.

Writing on Instagram, Laundrie said: "Reading is different than any other consumption of media, it takes more effort that staring at a screen half alive, it allows you to use your brain rather than melt it, and there is no author more stimulation to me than @chuckpalahniuk."

The book is another dark fiction about a man who discovers a song has the "power to kill anyone it is spoken to".

He meets a woman and together they road trip across the country to destroy every copy - but the main character ends up becoming a serial killer himself.

Gabby, 22 - a famous social media influencer - was reported missing after not having spoken to her family since late August.

She had been living in the camper-van while travelling across the States with her fiancé Laundrie, 23, with their journey documented on social media.

Gabby and Laundrie begun their nationwide road trip in a white Ford Transit van back in July, sharing videos that became popular online.

Laundrie returned home without her at the beginning of September, and her parents contacted the police 10 days later.

Subsequently, Laundrie is being treated as a person of interest in Gabby's disappearance. He is still missing.

Earlier this week, police confirmed that a body found in a Wyoming National Park was the missing YouTuber. Now, the FBI has ruled that Gabby's death was a 'homicide' - adding the official cause of death would be announced pending final autopsy results.
