Joe Biden’s son Hunter has decided that if political family drama was ever going to get any stranger, it may as well involve an actual cage.
The 56-year-old has challenged Donald Trump’s sons, Don Jr and Eric, in a move that sounds less like the start of a serious sporting event and more like a throwaway joke at a bar about who could beat the other in a hypothetical brawl.
It turns out that Hunter’s challenge is very real, with full verbal confirmation that he would want to take part in a literal Presidential family brawl. This hasn’t just popped up on the personal to-do list of former President Joe Biden’s son at random, though; it’s down to an influencer many might know in certain spaces: 28-year-old Andrew Callaghan.

Appearing in a clip shared by Andrew Callaghan’s Channel 5 on Instagram, Hunter said: "Hey guys, Hunter Biden here. I just got a call from Andrew Callaghan. He asked me to come out on the Channel 5 carnival tour at the end of month."
After listing the final tour stops in Phoenix, San Diego, and Albuquerque, he added that Callaghan was ‘trying to organize a cage match — me versus Eric and Don Jr.’
Hunter then made it crystal clear that he was not joking about his part in it, saying: "I told him I'd do it, 100 percent in if he can pull it off — and if he can't, I'm still coming."

At the moment, though, that is about as far as things have gone. It is still not clear whether either of Trump’s sons has any interest in accepting the challenge, and there is no word yet on when or where the fight would happen if it somehow moved beyond the talking stage.
Still, even the idea itself should get plenty of attention over the coming days, mostly because the image of Hunter Biden in a cage with Don Jr and Eric Trump would grab social media viewers across the world.

There is also the age factor. As noted by JOE, Hunter is 56, while Don Jr is 48 and Eric is 42, which means he would already be going into it older than both of the men he is calling out. What’s more, before anyone even gets into the logistics, there is the obvious follow-up question of whether this is meant to be one-on-one, two-on-one, or some sort of tag-team arrangement.
To make it even stranger, there is no evidence suggesting any of the three men has formal combat sports training.
Plus, if it ever did happen, it would still be competing with another surreal fight-adjacent headline, with Donald Trump already planning a UFC 250 event on the White House lawn on 14 June.
